CONSUMER PROTECTION SECTION

 

DUTIES:  This individual will analyze, investigate, and prosecute suspected violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act.  The position will staff an ongoing, complex investigation and related litigation.  Must have excellent writing skills, be prepared to assist in all phases of discovery including document review and motions practice, and be prepared to appear in the appropriate state or federal court in actions filed against alleged violators.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage complex enforcement cases; well-developed oral and written communication skills; and the ability to interact effectively with state/federal government officials, a diverse workforce, and the general public.  Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, concentrating on consumer protection or commercial matters.  Must be admitted to the Virginia State Bar.

 

 

SALARY:  Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
