The Administrative Division provides all administrative, non-legal support to the Office and includes the following Departments: Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, and Operations. There is a broad spectrum of functionality under the large “administrative” umbrella, and each Department consists of knowledgeable and capable staff, providing the necessary expertise for that Department’s mission. The Administrative staff works efficiently to provide excellence in internal customer service, ensuring that the overall Office needs are met so that the attorneys and support staff may provide the highest level of legal service to the Commonwealth, its constituent agencies, and its citizens.
Director of Administration
Prior to joining the OAG, Ms. Archer was the EEO and Employee Relations Manager with the Virginia Department of Health, where she directed the agency’s EEO, grievance, and complaint programs and provided advice and risk analysis to local Health Directors, Deputy Commissioners, and the State Health Commissioner. Previously, she was part of the Human Resources Department at LeClairRyan and contributed significantly to the Firm’s efforts to reduce administrative costs and improve efficiency. She also served the Commonwealth with the Department of Employment Dispute Resolution (now part of the Department of Human Resource Management) as an Employee Relations Consultant, advising both state workers and agency management on state policy and the resolution of workplace conflict. As a law student, Ms. Archer interned with the OAG and the Office of General Counsel at Virginia Commonwealth University, experiences which shaped her strong interest in public service. Ms. Archer is originally from Salem, Virginia and is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond School of Law.
