DUTIES:  Under direct supervision of the Director of Information Systems, the Sr. Application Systems Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining modern, fast and stable web-based applications which service day to day operations in various departments in the OAG.  This position will lead the technical design, development, modification and implementation of web applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.  This position will develop and maintain existing web applications as well as design and implement new web applications.  The candidate will also be responsible for the majority of Microsoft SharePoint (development and maintenance) duties.  Other duties of the position include the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study preferred or at least five years of experience in developing applications and complex systems.  Candidates must have experience in creating Windows applications, strong SQL development (queries, stored procedure etc.) on MS SQL Server, experience with source control systems like Team Foundation Server, able to break down complex processes and create a workable solution, working knowledge in all stages of the software development life cycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation and a history of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines; experience with database management including maintenance and scheduling jobs.  Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of the following:  C#, JavaScript. database programming, JQuery, Json, Visual Studio 2012/2013, SQL Server Management Studio, Team Foundation Server 2012/2013, IIS7(web).  Candidates must possess good interpersonal, customer support, verbal and technical writing skills and be a self-starter with ability to achieve deadline driven priorities is essential.  Candidates must have the ability to collaborate and work in a team environment; exhibit professional initiative and self direction; and the willingness and ability to document knowledge and share with others is required.  Strong communication skills and the creativity as a problem solver is a must.  Must have a passion for new technologies, motivation and time management skills and attention to detail. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
